From Pay On Site 4.8.0 (October 2026 release), you can decide, separately for cardholder and merchant receipts, whether a receipt is printed automatically or only on request, depending on whether the transaction succeeded or failed.
Open the receipt printing options
- Open Menu.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Receipt printing options, then select Cardholder receipt or Merchant receipt.
- For On success and On failure, choose Always print or Ask operator.
Available settings
Each receipt type has one setting per transaction outcome. Cardholder and merchant settings apply independently.
| Receipt | Transaction outcome | Default value |
|---|---|---|
| Cardholder receipt | On success | Ask operator |
| Cardholder receipt | On failure | Always print |
| Merchant receipt | On success | Ask operator |
| Merchant receipt | On failure | Ask operator |
What each value does
- Always print: the receipt prints automatically at the end of the transaction, without any prompt.
- Ask operator: the receipt is not printed automatically. The operator can still print it from the transaction result screen, as before.
Tip
To stop printing cardholder receipts for every declined transaction, set Cardholder receipt > On failure to Ask operator.
Note
The Never print option no longer exists. To avoid printing a receipt automatically, select Ask operator.
Good to know
- These settings are stored on each terminal. Configure every terminal individually.
- Your settings are kept after a terminal restart.
- When a terminal is updated to 4.8.0, its current receipt settings are kept.
- On versions earlier than 4.8.0, each receipt type has a single setting (print systematically or never), and the cardholder receipt is always printed for declined transactions.
Note
Merchant receipt is optional. All your transactions are stored and accessible online.
