Run a Diagnostic

Overview

On the payment terminal, you can run tests to verify the state of the:

  • Internet connection
  • Server connection
  • Chip card reader.
  • NFC antenna for contactless payments.
  • Magnetic swipe reader.

Note. When you start a test, the display shows instructions to explain how to carry out the test:

•  Chip reader: you have to insert a card into the card reader.
•  NFC antenna for contactless: you have to present a contactless card on the reader.
•  Magnetic stripe: you have to swipe the magnetic stripe of a card.

Test the terminal hardware

On the application:

  1. Go to Menu
  2. Select "Settings",
  3. Click on “Diagnostic”

Diagnostics will start automatically. Results that may appear are:

  • OK
  • Waiting
  • Not supported
  • Failed

Send a diagnostic report

If your payment terminal is malfunctioning, you can trigger an update so we can use the information from the logs to improve our software or to review malfunctions.
