Payment Terminals
Payment app version: 4.0.1
🚀 New features
Estate management: Remote lock/unlock of terminals
Resellers and terminal-management teams can now remotely lock or unlock payment terminals as part of terminal lifecycle management. This feature supports scenarios such as suspicious activity, missing or stolen devices, or contract-related restrictions.
The feature is available in the Estate Management section of the Market Pay Hub, where lock or unlock requests can be submitted for individual terminals. For more, read Market Pay Hub updates.
Tip management on Payment Terminals
The Tip Management feature enables merchants to activate, configure, and process tips directly on the payment terminal. It supports both standalone and ECR-integrated modes, while ensuring clear reporting and traceability of tip amounts.
Configuration
In the application settings, merchants can:
- Enable or disable tip collection.
- Define up to three preset tip options, either:
- As percentages of the purchase amount (e.g., 5%, 10%, 15%), or
- As fixed amounts (e.g., €1, €2, €5).
Regardless of the predefined options, the payer may always choose not to leave a tip.
User experience
When tip collection is enabled, the tip selection screen appears during the payment flow, after the amount confirmation and before card presentation.
Reporting & reconciliation
- Receipts, as well as Market Pay Hub and API reporting, clearly separate the tip amount from the purchase amount.
- Both amounts are included in the transaction record for accurate accounting and settlement.
Availability by mode
| Mode | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Standalone mode | The terminal application displays the tip selection screen. |
| ECR-integrated mode | The ECR handles tip entry and includes the tip amount in the payment request sent to the terminal. The terminal does not display the tip screen. |
Support for A8900 wireless charging base for improved connectivity
The wireless charging base (B8900-BE) is a key accessory for the PAX A8900 terminal. It connects to the internet via LAN and acts as an access point, allowing one or more devices to connect seamlessly.
If the PAX A8900 loses its primary network connection, the Bluetooth link through the base can automatically take over to ensure uninterrupted operation.
For wireless use in Bluetooth mode, connect the base to your internet router. Once Bluetooth mode is enabled in the payment application, communication between the base and the payment terminal occurs through the base.
Multi-company support in ECR-integrated mode
The multi-company feature allows a single payment terminal to process transactions for multiple stores, potentially belonging to different legal entities.
This enhancement extends that capability to ECR-integrated mode by enabling clients to send their own store IDs in the payment request. This makes it easier to use the multi-company setup without changing existing ECR workflows.

The feature is available in the Estate Management section of the Market Pay Hub, where users can submit lock or unlock requests for individual terminals. Because requests may take a short time to process, terminal status will transition through the following states:

In-Person receipts in Market Pay Hub
Users can now access receipts for transactions accepted through In-Person solutions directly in the Hub. On the Accepted Transactions page, the action menu for each transaction includes two new options:
- Download receipt – instantly download a copy of the receipt.
- View receipt – open the receipt in a new tab, with the option to download it.
This feature allows merchants to manage all transactions and receipts from one place, saving time and improving accessibility.
🌟 Improvements
Display transactions settlement net of commissions
A new Fee collection column is now available in the Acquired Transactions table, in Manage Columns panel, and in the Settlement section of the Transaction Details page.
It indicates the transactions fee-collection mode, which can be one of the following:
- Deducted from financing (default)
- To be collected
- Invoiced
This enhancement provides a more comprehensive view of settled transactions by clearly showing how fees are applied.
Exporting pre-authorizations
Pre-authorization data can now be exported directly from the Pre-authorizations page. Exports are available in the following formats:
- CSV
- XLSX
Spring
🚀 New features
Automated onboarding of merchants to PPRO from Spring
Merchants can now be onboarded to PPRO directly from Spring Community. For each checkout type, users can initiate onboarding for all supported PPRO payment methods using the new Alternative schemes button available at the e-commerce checkout-type level. Spring will then automatically complete the onboarding process with PPRO.
