Cancellation guide

You can cancel a transaction directly through your app’s history. Please review the following requirements before beginning:

  • Authorization: Only Admin or Manager users can authorize a cancellation. A password is required for security.

  • Full Reversal: Unlike a refund, a cancellation voids the entire transaction. Partial cancellations are not supported; the total amount will be returned to the customer's balance.

  • Time Sensitivity: Transactions can typically only be canceled before the daily batch closure.

 

Steps to Cancel a Transaction

 

1. Locate the transaction 

Navigate to the Receipts section in the app menu. Use the search bar to find the specific transaction by reference number, date, or amount.

2. Open the Receipt

Select the transaction you wish to void. Tap the Cancel (or Void) button located at the bottom of the digital receipt

3. Authenticate

Enter your admin login credentials to securely authorize the cancellation request.

4. Confirm Cancellation

Confirm that you wish to void the transaction. Once processed, the funds will be released back to the customer. No physical card tap is required to complete this action.

5. Provide Cancellation Receipt

Once the process is complete, a cancellation receipt will be generated. You can share this with your customer via QR Code or Email for their records.
