How to search for a transaction

  • Updated

1. Multi-Criteria Search

Located at the top of your Receipts list, the new search bar allows you to query transactions using:

  • Receipt number: attributed to each transaction listed in the transaction history

  • Transaction Reference: optional value that can be associated with a transaction when it is performed

  • All: looks for search input in receipt number, transaction reference and transaction amount

2. Deep Filtering Options

Beyond simple text search, the Filters menu (accessible via the filter icon) allows you to layer criteria:

  • Transaction Type: Toggle between Payments and Refunds.

  • Status: Filter by Success or Declined attempts.

  • Amount Range: Set a minimum and maximum value to find specific high-ticket items or small recurring costs.

3. User-Based Tracking

Ideal for managers and team leads, the User Filter allows you to see transactions associated with specific individuals.

  • Multi-Select: Choose one or multiple users from a searchable list.

4. Custom Date Ranges

No more endless scrolling. The Date Picker allows for:

  • Presets: Quick-select options for "Last 7 Days" or "Last 30 Days."

  • Custom Range: Use the calendar view to select a specific start and end date for your search.

How it Works: The User Journey

  1. Access the List: Start in the Transactions/Receipts view.

  2. Trigger Search: Tap the search bar or the filter icon.

  3. Apply Criteria: Layer your filters (e.g., User: John Doe + Amount: >$50 + Date: Last Month).

  4. Real-Time Results: The list updates instantly. Applied filters appear as scrollable chips at the top of the screen, allowing you to remove individual criteria with a single tap.

  5. View Details: Tap any result to open the Receipt Details view, which includes a full breakdown of the store name, VAT, payment mode, and a QR code for digital verification.
