Onboard a Company

  • Updated

Overview

Company creation is the first step of the merchant onboarding journey. The process differs depending on the offer type selected.

  • Acceptance Only — No KYB verification required. The company is created immediately after submitting a short form in the Hub.
  • Acquiring & Acceptance — KYB verification is required. The process involves two stages: a pre-screening form, followed by a KYB form.

Note: This feature is available to users with Operator or Merchant Admin user types who've been assigned the corresponding permissions.

Access the Company Creation Form

  1. In the left menu, click Submissions under the Administration section.
  2. Click Create new company at the top of the page.

Acceptance Only

For Acceptance Only offers, no KYB review is required. Fill in the following fields and click Create company.

FieldRequired
AccountYes
OfferYes
Company nameYes
Street and numberYes
Post codeYes
CityYes

Once submitted, a confirmation page displays the three-step onboarding progress and prompts you to create a store. You can either proceed immediately or skip and resume later from the Submissions page.

Acquiring & Acceptance

The company creation process for Acquiring & Acceptance offers involves two distinct stages: a pre-screening form in the Hub, followed by a KYB form.

Step 1 — Hub Pre-Screening Form

Fill in the following fields:

FieldRequiredNotes
AccountYesDetermines the country of the company
OfferYesSelect Acquiring & Acceptance
Activity CodeYes
Company nameYes
Registration numberYesFrance: SIREN (9 digits) / Italy: Fiscal code (10–16 characters) / Other countries: VAT number (7–13 characters)

Once all fields are filled, the Continue to verification button becomes active. A message next to the button confirms: "Identity verification is handled securely by our partner. You'll be redirected to complete the remaining steps."

Duplicate Check

Before redirecting you to the KYB form, the Hub automatically checks whether a company with the same registration number already exists.

If a match is found, the Continue to verification button is blocked and an error message is displayed. A contextual link below the Registration number field indicates the next action:

Existing statusMessage and action
Documents requested, Action requested, or Resubmission requested"You can continue filling out the form for company creation here." — the link reopens the existing KYB form.
Pending review, Approved, Rejected, Active, or Inactive"Click here to see your company overview and details." — the link opens the company record in the Perimeter page.

Step 2 — KYB Form

Once the duplicate check passes, a redirect screen displays: "You are being redirected to the authorized application." You are automatically redirected to the KYB form after a few seconds.

On the KYB landing page, confirm the verification request by clicking Continue on the "Verification for MarketPay" screen. The KYB form then guides you through four sequential sections.

Note: You have one week from the moment you start the KYB form to provide all required information.

Section 1 — Company Data

Our verification partner searches public registries and auto-populates the following fields: registration number, entity type, incorporation date, postal address, legal address, and legal form.

Review the pre-filled information and complete any missing fields. The only field not pre-filled is the company email address, which is mandatory.

If your company does not appear in the search results, click Enter company data manually.

Section 2 — Company Documents

Upload one of the following legal presence documents. The document must not be older than 3 months.

  • Certificate of incorporation/registration
  • Memorandum or articles of incorporation/association/registration
  • Recent excerpt from a state company registry

Note: Accepted file formats are JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, and PDF (max 50 MB).

Country and entity-specific requirements:

ContextAccepted documents
Italy — all entity types except Sole ProprietorCertificate of incorporation/registration; Memorandum/articles of incorporation/association/registration; Recent excerpt from a state company registry
Italy — Sole ProprietorSame as above. A VAT Number Assignment Certificate is also accepted as a certificate of incorporation/registration.
All other countries (France, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Germany, Monaco) — all entity types including Sole ProprietorCertificate of incorporation/registration; Memorandum/articles of incorporation/association/registration; Recent excerpt from a state company registry

Section 3 — Associated Parties

This section covers the identity verification of the individuals connected to the company: Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and the Legal Representative.

UBOs

The form automatically displays individuals owning more than 25% of the company, pre-filled from registry data. For each UBO, review the pre-filled information and provide:

  • Email address (mandatory, not pre-filled)
  • ID document

Accepted ID document types:

  • Passport — biodata page only
  • National ID Card — front and back sides as separate files
  • Residence Permit — front and back sides as separate files

Note: Do not submit both sides of an ID document in a single PDF. Each side must be uploaded as a separate file.

Tips for a successful ID document upload:

  • Use a valid, non-expired document.
  • Ensure all four corners of the document are visible.
  • The image must be clear, well-lit, and free of glare or blur.
  • Do not cover any part of the document.

AML screening runs automatically on each UBO once their documents are submitted.

Legal Representative

Provide the following information for the Legal Representative:

  • First name, last name, middle name
  • Date of birth
  • Country, city, street, postcode
  • ID document (same accepted types as UBOs)

If a UBO is also the Legal Representative, select both roles for that individual to avoid duplicate entry.

Country-specific requirements:

ContextID documents required
ItalyRequired for both the Legal Representative and all UBOs
All other countriesRequired for the Legal Representative only

Section 4 — IBAN and Questionnaire

IBAN document

Upload a document showing all of the following:
