Overview
Once a merchant is onboarded, their contract needs to be signed before things are fully set up. How that happens depends on how your account is configured — there are two possible processes.
Note: The process that applies to your account is set at account level and can't be changed from the Hub. If you're not sure which one applies to you, or want to switch, contact your account manager.
Electronic signature (automatic)
If your account uses electronic signature, you don't need to do anything with the contract itself — it's generated and sent automatically.
- When you add solutions for a merchant, fill in the Signing responsible section on the Pricing policy step: first name, last name, email, and role (Signer or Viewer) for each person who needs to sign or view the contract. You can add up to 5.
- Once you submit, the contract is generated automatically and sent to the merchant to sign electronically.
- If commissions change later, a new contract is generated and sent automatically — you don't need to re-upload anything.
Note: You'll receive a separate contract for each solution (checkout type) you add, since pricing and terms can vary by solution.
If you don't see a Signing responsible section when adding solutions, your account most likely uses the manual process described below.
Manual upload
If your account uses the manual process, you're responsible for getting the contract signed outside the Hub and uploading it yourself.
- Go to the Submissions page.
- Find the relevant company and open the action menu (⋮) at the end of the row.
- Click Add contract. This opens the company's details with the contract field ready to fill in.
- Click the edit icon next to the contract field to open the upload window.
- Click Upload, select the signed contract file, and confirm. You can upload one file — a preview of the file name appears once it's uploaded.
- Click Submit to send the contract.
Note: The Add contract action only appears once the company has been created.
Good to know
- These two processes are mutually exclusive — an account uses one or the other, not both.
- With electronic signature, there's nothing to upload — the contract lifecycle is handled automatically end to end.
- With manual upload, remember to complete this step yourself; it isn't automatic, and it isn't triggered by KYB approval or any other status change.
